Happy Fall, Y’all! This love when a craft has multiple uses. It is not just an activity you can do with your toddler but also a keepsake and decoration. We have done these for a few years with our children, putting them in little frames and using them as decorations in our office. They are super cute and easy, and the children love their hands being painted.
What do you need:
- Orange Paint
- Paint Brush
- Sharpie marker
- White Paper or white canvas
- Baby wipes or wet paper towel ready
Simple steps-
1- Paint your child’s hands with orange paint. Notice we said that you should have wipes or a wet paper towel available. Please do otherwise you will have orange color everywhere. We have tried to do the thought process; I will bring them to wash their hands or send them to wash their own hands. We lived, and we learned, PAINT everywhere. The places paint has been found have no explanation. The moral of the story is to have something wet ready to clean off their hands.
2- Place their hand on the paper slowly to not smudge it. Life quickly in one motion.
3- Allow drying. Use a sharpie to put Happy F LL Y’all on it, using the handprint as the ‘A.’ Remember to add their name and date, so you are never guessing who and when!
ENJOY YOUR KEEPSAKE!
